JMG offers academic guidance and a caring structure for students who:

  • have below average test scores
  • have an excessive number of absences
  • have been suspended, put on probation, or expelled at least two times
  • are economically disadvantaged (living below poverty line)
  • are products of a single parent home or foster care
  • have parents who are not high school graduates

With researched-based curricula and qualified staff, JMG:

  • Mentors program participants
  • Prepares students for the workforce
  • Educates via remediation, tutoring
  • Teaches employability skills
  • Exposes students to careers and colleges via field trips, guest speakers, conferences
  • Engages students via student-led career associations
  • Stresses parental involvement
  • Provides referral services
